Weightron Bilanciai Exhibit at Hillhead 2022
Recently, the sales team from Weightron Bilanciai was delighted to attend and exhibit at Hillhead 2022, the UK’s largest quarrying, construction and recycling exhibition. Hillhead has been going for 40 years, but there had been a four-year gap since the last one – owing to a certain pandemic that has been getting in the way of all of our lives.
This year’s show turned out to be one of the busiest and best-attended ever, with around 18,500 visitors coming to see what had been happening in their particular areas of interest and over 600 exhibitors demonstrating a wide range of products and new technologies aimed at the quarrying, construction and recycling industries. It took place from 21-23 June at Tarmac’s Hillhead Quarry, which is located near Buxton in Derbyshire – making it a relatively simple trip for the Weightron team from our Chesterfield base.
With many of our existing customers also being local, it represented an ideal opportunity for the Weightron team to catch up with old friends, but also to talk to potential new customers and showcase our hardware, software and automation solutions.
Our weighbridges are commonly used in both quarrying and recycling, so there was a lot of interest in what we had to offer those people who stopped to see us. There was particular interest in our latest generation of Winweigh software, which is transforming the way businesses in those industries manage their facilities and weighing processes.
Nick Burley, Sales Director at Weightron Bilanciai, said:
“We had a great few days at Hillhead – the sun was shining throughout and it was very busy. We’ve been attending for years, but with the long gap since the last show, we were really looking forward to showing off what we’d been up to in the intervening time.
“We enjoyed catching up with some of our existing customers, as well as explaining what we do to what we hope will turn out to be new customers, and we were delighted that so many were extremely responsive to what we had to offer their businesses. We’re already looking forward to the next show in 2024.”
