Pit weighbridge plays important role at Household Reuse and Recycling Centre

Weightron Bilanciai has supplied and commissioned a driver-operated weighbridge at the new Hartcliffe Way Household Reuse and Recycling Centre in Bristol.  Working directly with the project’s main civil contractor, Cardiff based EncCn Ltd, Weightron have installed a robust 15 x 3 metre, 50 tonne, pit-mounted Eurodeck weighbridge, fitted with the company’s stainless steel CPD digital loadcells. A DD2060 touchscreen driver terminal is adjacent to the weighbridge, traffic lights and intercom complete the system.

The legal-for-trade weighbridge is used for weighing vehicles collecting recycled products. The DD2060’s large colour touch screen provides a versatile, user-friendly interface for drivers. The intuitive pictograms guide them through the weighing procedure and the integral intercom provides communication through to the site office.

The overall weighing process is managed by Weightron’s versatile and powerful Winweigh software, which links directly with the site’s management software system. The extensive database stores details of vehicles and contractors, which helps to streamline the weighing.

*The new Hartcliffe Way Recycling Centre will be one of the largest household recycling centres in the region. The facility is home to one of the largest reuse shops and workshops in the region; selling and repairing good quality, pre-loved items that might otherwise have gone to waste.
