ATEX Weighing Solutions
Weightron have a broad experience of supplying ATEX weighing equipment for use in designated hazardous areas.
We can supply equipment for use in ATEX weighing in Zones 0, 1 & 2 (gases) and 20, 21 & 22 (dusts). Our scope of supply includes:

Weighbridges
Our ATEX certified weighbridges include pit and surface designs in a range of capacities and sizes. The weighbridges, fitted with our ATEX compliant CPR/CPD stainless steel loadcells, can be used with a range of power supplies and instrumentation installed in either the hazardous or safe areas.
Bench and Floor Scales
We can supply a wide range of ATEX certified scales in capacities up to 10,000 kg. These include bench scales, floor scales and drive-through low profile floor scales.
LPG Filling Systems
Over the last decade legislative changes, coupled with the lack of adequate service support and spare part availability, have caused a large number of LPG gas filling lines throughout the UK to become obsolete. The complete replacement of gas cylinder filling stations is an expensive exercise and to solve this problem, Weightron have engineered a cost-effective and highly efficient refurbishment procedure for upgrading existing equipment to ensure ATEX Zone 2 compliance.
This involves the replacement of the non-compliant weight terminals with Weightron’s ATEX certified weight controllers. These instruments, with built-in filling software, are fitted directly to the existing frameworks, which are fully refurbished at Weightron’s factory. The associated 150 kg weigh platforms are also upgraded to meet current DSEAR requirements (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations), using the company’s 300 kg single point ATEX certified load cells. These weights and measures approved load cells provide a high level of overload capability, whilst still ensuring excellent filling precision. The upgrade also includes a new ATEX-certified solenoid valve, gas valve, moisture capture filter, emergency stop valve, counterbalance wire cable for filling gun, and other gas fittings and clamps.

We can supply a range of load cells, specialist mounting hardware and instrumentation for ATEX applications in a wide range of industries.
